The Mini-Lide RGB televisions of Hisense caused a stir when they presented themselves earlier this year, and although the 116-inch model they introduced is not the most accessible size, the company said it intended to take panel technology to smaller models in the future. Well, in Ifa 2025, that is done exactly.
RGB LED televisions offer richer and deeper colors than normal mini-led by the use of red, green and blue LEDs (therefore, RGB) instead of standard blue LED in the background light.
I already tried the 116 -inch model, the 116ux, and I was impressed by its dazzling colors, a constantly strong shine, sharp textures and compensation. While the control of background light seemed to be a problem, black levels and contrast were still impressive. However, at $ 29,999 / £ 29,999, it is not the most affordable technology.
Hisense recently revealed that he is also taking RGB Mini-Led to a 100-inch model, but despite a growing 98-inch TV market, that is not the most accessible size, and a price of $ 19,999 remains a pill difficult to swallow.
In Ifa, an 85 -inch mini RGB TV in the Hiense area was exhibited. And the best news? It is not just a concept, but is planned for a launch next year. Although no price has been confirmed, the $ 10,000 difference between the 116 and 100 -inch models suggests a promising downward price trend.
Still bright, still bold
The concern when adapting a technology to a smaller size is that image quality sacrifices should be done. With RGB Mini-Led, a technology that some say that it will overcome the best OLED televisions in the coming years, the concern is that their great brightness and bold colors will receive a success to accommodate a smaller screen size.
Seeing the 85 -inch RGB television in action, my concerns were buried. He delivered the same amazing colors as his biggest brother, with a close -up shot of a ring with a precious blue stone that looks rich, vibrant and detailed. A photo of a red flower also looked vivid with a lot of color depth.
The 85 -inch model also demonstrated very deep black levels that rival those of an OLED. Although I found that the 116 -inch model had problems with the uniformity of the screen, with some visible clouds in darker films such as The BatmanHe still showed rich blacks, and the 85 -inch model did the same. He also exhibited great backlight control with almost no flowering: a photo of a pink tree against a sky full of stars was an excellent demonstration of this.
RGB TV: The future of television?
RGB televisions are a growing trend in the world of television. LG introduced its OLED RGB panel in the main tandem in the LG G5, and that same panel is also used in the Panasonic Z95B, two of the best televisions of the year in 2025.
Hisense is not the only brand with RGB Mini-Led in his mind, since we saw Sony's own RGB television in action and we were impressed with his precision and backlog control. Samsung has also entered a 115-inch micro-RGB television of $ 30,000 in the market, and for what we saw, RGB will take to the next level.
While technology is not very affordable (in mini-lideros formats and at least micro-lideros), it is already on the way to become more accessible, and the 75-inch 75-inch is the first step in that direction. And with the set of RGB TVs of Hins to be the first to support Dolby Vision 2, RGB Mini-Led became a much more contender.
