The last AI assistant to stir the emotion is Manus, Latin for Hand. An appropriate option since Manus is presented as the useful hand for any type of complex research or content creation.
Manus supposedly surpasses the rivals in sophistication. The most obvious comparison is Doepeek, but, although that confrontation would be interesting (and I will probably do), I think it is worth classifying Manus against the chatgpt much more widely used.
Manus is only by invitation and requires the company to approve its reasons to want to prove it. Fortunately, they have provided a variety of demonstrations that show what Manus can do. Of course, any demonstration must be taken with a salt grain, since they will surely show the only examples that portray AI in the best way. Even so, demonstrations show what Manus can do.
In fact, some of the demonstrations go far beyond what Chatgpt can achieve at the consumer level. With that in mind, I attached to the indications to which both models could respond productively. I also concentrated on projects with which the average person could participate, regardless of their profession. No warning drastically reduced options. In the images below, the manus's result is on the right and the chatgpt outlet is on the left.
Fantasy movie
I started with a fun script from the movie: “Develop a fantasy script that explores a hypothetical interaction between Mayan and ancient Egyptian civilizations. Balances historical precision with creative freedom. First, compile relevant reference materials. Then, propose possible narrative directions and creative inspirations. Finally, select the most convincing concept and reduce a preliminary script outline.”
In particular, Manus devised the notice with only a few concepts, so AI did investigations, made a brainstorm, chose an option and then produced a scheme for the real script. It occurred with a selection of research on the two civilizations, then a handful of seed ideas for the film before choosing the previous one and writing a fairly competent contour for a full film. Chatgpt, although he is not so eloquent in the writing of the scheme or the deep of his research, impressed me with what occurred to him. While Manus is more thorough, Chatgpt showed that he could match his creativity in some way.
Adobe bio
Then I selected a longer writing message, asking for a complete novel about what would normally be a very dry theme. I asked Chatgpt to follow Manus's notice, “Write a novel style biography of Adobe Company, of approximately 10,000 words of length. Maintaining objective precision, goes beyond a simple chronological narrative to create a convincing story.”
I do not say that neither made the development of the software into an exciting narrative, but Manus definitely followed the demand for length. And although I did not detect any error in the chatgpt approach, it felt more like a creatively written Wikipedia article instead of a novel. Manus had a complete book, with quotes and a lot of context. Perhaps Chatgpt's deep research function could match it, but I wanted to stay focused on the most common Chatgpt model for now.
Presentation cards
I was curious about the statement of Manus about the design and creation of images, so I chose the application card application for the next comparison of ChatgPT, asking him that also, also, “Create a minimalist and elegant presentation card for me inspired by Apple's design philosophy. I have attached my curriculum as a reference.”
Manus made a very good presentation card that does exactly what the notice says and incorporates the relevant details of the curriculum included. When I used the same curriculum and notice with chatgpt, the results were somewhat complicated. The text is not all clear (or apparently in human language), Apple's reference has become much more literal, which implies a job in the company, and it is frankly less a presentation card and more what seems like a real Apple product, perhaps a mini personalized battery. It is not exactly the professional reminder of yourself that you would want to distribute.
Oceanic meditation
For the final test, I went with an interesting writing message and manus audio generation, “Please help me create a five -minute meditation audio. My name is Wayne and I like the ocean.”
Manus, as expected, made a lovely script, edited it and had a good voice that read it with accompanying oceanic sounds. You can listen to the combination on the demonstration page, which allows you to adjust the relative volume of voice sounds and waves. Chatgpt wrote a script significantly less than five minutes, and although he produced audio, there were no wave sounds despite the statement in the script. And, even when it is only the audio of the script, it is very obvious which voice will help you meditate. The Audio Manus is the first file, and Chatgpt's effort is under it.
Manus magic
After executing the indications of Manus in Chatgpt, I can see why the new IA assistant has made more comparison with Depseek. It seems to execute indications in an impressive way. If you are a researcher, a designer or someone who needs deeply investigated lessons plans and multimedia integration, Manus makes sense, if you can get an invitation.
That said, Chatgpt is still the best for everyday users. If you need an AI that is fast, reliable and capable of generating high quality responses in most circumstances, I would say that chatgpt (and other similar power tools) has everything you need. It gives you what you need without doing things more difficult than they should be. In most cases, Chatgpt is more than enough. But if you want an AI that feels like it belongs to a joint room or research laboratory, Manus is probably the correct call.
