Andor Season 2 is the Star Wars project I'm most excited about. I said it there. Well, considering it's one of the best shows on Disney Plus, that's not a controversial opinion. But, when other exciting new Star Wars series and movies are released in the coming years, Andor You may not be high on everyone else's priority list.
Well, consider it the best for me, dear reader, especially in light of R's reported return.First Edition: A Star Wars StoryThe main villain. That's right, according to The Playlist, Ben Mendelsohn's Orson Krennic will be part of the supporting cast for season 2. Mendelsohn's involvement was accidentally revealed by one of the season 2 directors, Alonso Ruizpalacios, who named the former Marvel star along with his return. Andor favorites Stellan Skarsgård and Forest Whitaker, who play Luthen Rael and Saw Gerrera.
It's unknown when, where, or how Krennic will appear, but given his extensive involvement in the creation of the first Death Star (he is, after all, the Empire's Director of Advanced Weapons Research), it makes sense that he would appear. Andor The season 1 post-credits scene already revealed that work was underway on the planet-destroying space station. And with AndorThe second and final season is ready to lead directly into rogue oneKrennic's appearance (even in a cameo capacity) would further help bridge the gap between the Disney Plus series and Lucasfilm's underrated 2016 film.
What other Rogue One characters will appear in Andor season 2?
Nothing is confirmed yet, but it is incredibly likely that some of Rogue onThe other major players of e will be part of Andor The substantial cast of season 2.
Diego Luna, who plays Cassian Andor in rogue one and the TV prequel, has already suggested that the rogue rebel will meet Alan Tudyk's K-2SO for the first time in the show's second episode. Speaking during a featured panel at ACE Superhero Comic Con 2024 (as reported by PopVerse), Luna dropped even more hints that others rogue one The characters will cross paths with Cassian when the show returns.
“I can say you, rogue one “It's coming,” he joked, “so there will be characters there that you'll recognize.” There will be interesting things. Unfortunately, Andor Fans (like me) still have to wait a bit for season 2. Last December, Marvel and Star Wars confirmed their Disney Plus show lineup for 2024, but Andor was notably absent from the latter's list. However, speaking to Total Film/GamesRadar earlier this year, Stellan Skarsgård claimed that he will arrive “early next year.” [year]”, so I hope it makes landfall in the first months of 2025.
