The vacurers are not just for carpets: a good vacuum is very useful to keep the floor hard without dust and hair. If your home has many hard floors, the good news is that you do not need a particularly powerful model to achieve full cleaning.
Or, as Kiril Natov told me, a carpet cleaning technician and upholstery with 18 years of experience in the industry, “any emptiness can suck dust, hair and arise from their wooden floors, tiles or vinyl, but some models do better than others.”

1. A Soft Floor Head dedicated
The advice of almost all the experts I asked for was to look for a vacuum that has a soft floor head designed for this purpose. “For hard wood floors that are prone to scratch, a floor head of soft or natural bristles is an excellent option to guarantee optimal protection,” suggests Tom Akers, from Miele GB.
Teya Field, by Henry, echoes his feelings: “For hard floors such as laminate, tiles and wood, vacuum cleaners that come with a specialized tool on the hard floor work better to guarantee a soft but effective collection without scratching delicate surfaces.”
If you have delicate hard wood floors, it is worth looking for a vacuum that has a completely spongy floor head. Many of today's Dyson vacuum cleaners come with a sponge floor head designed specifically for hard floors, along with a multipurpose for any type of floor.
Mark's salmon marks of Dreame de Dreame, Dreame wireless stick vacuum cleaners (including the R20 that is at the top of the best wireless vacuum guide in Techradar) also come with a soft floor head for the same purpose.
The soft fibers approach the surface of the floor and stir and clear the dirt there, all while gently polishing the surface. The Dyson version has more special features: “The spongy Dyson optics cleaner head has antistatic Nylon bristles to eliminate electrostatic attractions between fine dust and hard floors for an effective truck,” says Dyson's engineer Amy Wright.
2 … … or one who is gentle on the floor
If you have a hard floor and carpet mixture in your house, and you cannot bother to exchange cleaner heads, then do not fear, a series of large vacuum brands have floor heads that are designed to be suitable for any type of floor. Usually, these have a mixture of soft bristles to approach the hard floor and firmer sows to stir carpet fibers. Ideally, the latter are cut slightly shorter, so they do not reach the hard floor when the cleanest head is on the floor and, therefore, will not scratch it.
Other vacuum brands have alternative solutions. For example, in certain honey vacuum clezers, including the Miele Blizzard CX1 shown below, you can adjust the height of the brush crest depending on whether it is cleaning the floor or hard carpet.
3. rubber wheels
If your floors are delicate, you also think about the emptiness wheels, Tom suggests. “For the void itself, one with rubber wheels will also prevent them from scratching while throwing the floor.”
4. The ability to turn off the brush roll
Apart from the scratches, another problem is the scattered rubble. Because all the dust is located at the top of the floor surface, check it with a vacuum can simply kick it all over the place of suction entrance.
“To avoid debris dispersion or possibly damage delicate floors, look for a vacuum that allows you to turn off the rotating brush roll or have a special cleaning head with soft bristles,” says Kiril, from Premium Clean.
5. Lights in the floor head
To help illuminate the dust and dirt that could otherwise miss, look for a floor head with headlights. Dyson's bright green laser lights are especially effective in the front, throwing large shadows even on the smallest motorcycles of dust and hair. They appear in the newest models, including Gen5Dect and V15 detect.
6. A wet and dry vacuum
For a more thorough cleaning in the tiles or the Linos, Tom suggests opting for a wet drying vacuum instead of a traditional vacation. The best wet and dry vacuum cleaners will be in charge of the vacuum and cleaning at once, and some come with disinfectant and/or self -limpoping functions to help reduce the required amount of maintenance of you as well.
Avoid these if you have hard wooden floors that are water sensitive, although (here there is more on how to clean the hard wood floors).
7 … or a hybrid robovac
Another great option for hard floors is to outsource cleaning and opt for one of the best robots vacuum cleaners. These tend to be less powerful than manual vacsas, but that is not a problem with hard floors, where all dust is simply on the surface.
Go for a hybrid model, and will also be in charge of trapists for you, as necessary. If you are dealing with many flat tiles or tiles, you may want a bot with a base station that can fill out the water tanks on board and/or clean the pads of the traperation.
