The first Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event of 2024 starts on Wednesday (January 17), and it should be good. That's where we expect to see the reveal of the much-rumoured and teased Samsung Galaxy S24 range, which comprises the standard phone, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
While Samsung has only hinted that it will show off the next-generation Galaxy phones, they will surely be present. We're also expecting some surprises, like the Galaxy Ring, which has been talked about for a long time, but rumors haven't indicated that will be the case.

Where to watch the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 live
As mentioned, Wednesday, January 17 is the day of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024. A live stream of the reveal and presentation will begin at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm GMT. For Australians, that means 5am AEDT on Thursday 18 January.

In Samsung website You can sign up to watch the live stream and also receive a £50/AU$100 voucher to spend on Galaxy devices. Unfortunately, there's no such deal if you're in the US. But if you pre-order a new Galaxy device, you can get $50 in credit, which you can then use to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S24, where you can get up to $970 in savings with an exchange.

What to expect from Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024?
In short, you can expect to see a trio of new Galaxy S series phones, which according to rumors so far will be very similar to the Galaxy S23 series in terms of overall design.
However, according to rumors, there will be some subtle differences in the external design, including a flat display, titanium edges, and swapping the 10x telephoto camera for a 50x, 50-megapixel zoom camera for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Expect a decent range of Samsung Galaxy S24 colors and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra colors to catch your eye, but otherwise the biggest changes for the Galaxy S24 line over its predecessors are likely to be on the software side.
And it's almost certainly going to be all about AI, with Samsung already showing off features of the phone that rely on artificial intelligence algorithms, and with even more rumors pointing towards AI-powered photo editing similar to Google's Magic Editor Pixel 8. Other features proposed for the phone include the Galaxy S24 being able to detect tone in text, all part of Samsung's goal of creating an “AI phone.”
Based on rumors, we would expect the Galaxy S24 prices to be close to those of the Galaxy S23 series. Which means a trio of phones priced right for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models, plus some of the best Android phones.
Now we don't expect to see the Galaxy Ring, which will be Samsung's first smart ring. We also don't expect to see updates to the company's smartwatches.
