After the announcement that José Maria Álvares-Pallete resigned his position as president and CEO of Telefónica, he can no longer continue in the position of president of the Board of Directors of GSMA. The GSMA appreciates its contribution to the organization and the industry in general. Gopal Vittal, CEO of Bharti Airtel Group and the vice president of GSMA, will be an interim president of the GSMA Board until the Board chooses a new chair after the MWC Barcelona.
