Indonesian telecom operators are ready to implement three service APIs, starting with Check numberwhich streamlines mobile number verification for users, ensuring strong authentication and a seamless experience, addressing issues such as SMS delivery failures or user technological challenges. SIM swap will detect recent changes to SIM cards associated with a phone number, crucial for preventing account takeovers, especially during financial transactions. Device location allows organizations to confirm the specific location of a device, improving fraud detection and the accuracy of services like delivery apps, while thwarting GPS tampering and fraudulent activities.
Utilizing the GSMA Open Gateway initiative has proven valuable in developing a variety of solutions. The GSMA Open Gateway initiative was launched in February 2023 by the mobile industry and the GSMA, a global association that brings together mobile operators, technology companies and related industries.
