The inaugural edition of MWC Doha highlighted strong momentum in GCC markets, with advanced connectivity offering an important platform for new partnerships, demonstrations and collaboration across the region. The GSMA also highlighted the need to ensure that digital progress reaches all communities in the region, closing the usage gap in MENA through coordinated actions to expand affordable access and develop digital skills.

The energy and focus throughout the event has been clear, with government and industry using this inaugural edition to promote practical solutions and support new partnerships. At the same time, we know that the work is not finished. Extending digital progress to all MENA communities will require sustained collaboration, and the progress we have seen here is an important step in that direction.”
