Iconic motor place to organize demonstrations of connected vehicles and autonomous and experiences of intelligent technology fans
March 3, 2025, Barcelona: GSMA today announced an exciting three-year association with Fira Circuit, a newly formed company owned by FIRA in Barcelona that manages the activities in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and Mobile World Capital, a private public base that promotes the digital development of society.
The new association is designed to offer a technology exhibition in the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, establishing the place as an advanced connectivity innovation center, with the aim of promoting the future of connected and autonomous vehicles, drones and non-manned aerial vehicles and entertainment technologies. The Association will organize innovation projects in multiple locations around the circuit to support different cases of technology use.
The Showcase will be administered by GSMA Foundry, the GSMA Innovation Center, to serve as a place to test and experience live demonstrations of connectivity, automotive and intelligent drones technologies, as well as new innovative experiences of fans. Positioned at the forefront of technological innovation, the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit will organize the first demonstrations in the MWC26 Barcelona, followed by dedicated events for fans in Racing, Sports and Music Events for 2026.

In addition to exhibiting connected and autonomous vehicles, GSMA Foundry and GSMA Fusion will also take advantage of the new association to show open API -based business applications. In integrating these open-based open solutions, the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit demonstrates the versatility and potential of business applications in an environment of the real world.
GSMA Fusion is a GSMA Open Gateway initiative that facilitates collaboration between companies and the mobile industry to create new network -based solutions for automotive, aviation, financial services, manufacturing, media and transmission sectors. GSMA Fusion announced today that it has signed a series of associations with leading automotive groups, including the 5G Automotive Association, the Automotive Edge Computing and Jaspar consortium.
Richard Cockle de Gsma Foundry will organize a discussion panel with Eduard Marin by Mobile World Capital and Ignesi Armengol of the FIRA circuit, to discuss the new association and how the place will give life to the cases of connectivity use. The session will take place during the reception of networks of the industries connected at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday 5th March.
