- Google Freeplay is eliminating some television channels and bringing others
- Proud TV TV and black tones return after a few weeks away
- Freeplay's channel list has still been generally reduced
Google TV users can notice some changes in the platform freePlay service this month, with a free television channels that come out and arrive in rapid succession.
We said goodbye to some Christmas Christmas channels, including Xumo Holiday Movie Channel, Xumo Holiday Classics and Xumo Christian Christmas, all of which came on time for the Christmas season and it is unlikely that they see a lot of traction during the next nine months (through of 9th5google). Although, honestly, we all know people who would happily see those Hallmark holiday films throughout the year, right?
But for anyone sad to lose some free channels, there are also good news here. A pair of channels that were removed from Freeplay in early February are now returning to the service to compensate for it. After a brief absence, Shades of Black, the “culture, entertainment and lifestyle” channel that is known as Fuse Beat, is now back in Freeplay, along with LGBTQ+ Network Out TV television.
These channels were part of a great sacrifice to the Google TV Freeplay, along with Hill TV, Dog Whisperer with César Milan, the Dove channel, Comedy Dynamics, the Bob Ross channel, the Ringside Dazn and Dazn's women's football. However, it seems that his absence only lasted a couple of weeks, even if the remaining seven channels are not yet seen. (We will miss you, Bob Ross).
What is the problem?
Google TV Freeplay is a great advantage for US customers who use Google's Smart TV operating system, which packed in more than 160 free channels that cover everything, from documentary channels and sports to Bollywood movies and true crime.
2024 saw a constant increase in the number of available channels, eventually reached its maximum point around 170, although it seems that Google is beginning to select that list a little more intentionally in the new year.
Freeplay is only one of the main players in FAST (advertisement free transmission television) these days. TV viewers can now watch lots of free television programs and movies at Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV, Tubi and Roku Channel.
As Netflix elevates its subscription prices once again, and becomes even more difficult to juggle with all the best television programs in a spotd transmission market, many people are adopting free television and backed by ads that does not put a Great monthly dent in its spending budget. .
And as long as their favorite channels do not disappear suddenly, there should still be a lot of Google TV freePlay to enjoy for 2025. Hopefully the news summaries of Google's news do not end up replacing them.
