Google Workspace has confirmed that it will implement price increases on all its plans very soon, news that was expected but will still upset users.
The news follows a March 2023 announcement that revealed a 20% increase on all Business tier plans.
Back then, the changes only applied to new customers, however existing customers now face the same price increases, according to a new report from 9To5Google.

The price of the Business plans is $7.20 for Starter, $14.40 for Standard, and $21.60 for Plus, marking a pretty sizable jump from the previous prices of $6, $12, and $18, respectively.
Business plans are also not exempt from the adjustments, which began rolling out in 2023. Prices are set based on a number of variables, including the number of seats and services required, but some have seen increases of 38% and 54%. %. clients (via 9To5Google).
While Google had previously announced the adjustments, the actual rollout to existing customers caught some subscribers off guard.
The company has also been working to adjust its prices to better align local currencies with the cost of its products, aligning exchange rates with the US dollar.
Plus, Google isn't the only company raising prices for its customers. Many subscriptions to digital services have gone up in price, including the consumer-focused Apple One plan, which went from $29.95 to $32.95 at the end of 2022, and again to $37.95 at the end of 2023, which which represents a general increase of 27%.
Ring, the maker of popular video doorbells, has also been in the news recently for its price increases, leaving UK customers paying up to 43% more a year (via the bbc).
TechRadar Pro asked Google to confirm its current pricing strategy for existing customers, but the company did not immediately respond.
