It's a good time to be a Foreign fan. with Extraterrestrial: Romulus After receiving critical acclaim and a healthy box office take since its August 16 release, the latest installment of the sci-fi horror franchise has seemingly revived interest in the Xenomorph-themed film series.
You might think, then, that now is the perfect time to make people aware that the first… Foreign A TV series is coming soon. Well, that's what FX Networks and Hulu have done, with the release of the first trailer for the series. Extraterrestrial: Earthcoming to Hulu (in the US) and Disney Plus (internationally) sometime in 2025.
There is just one small problem with Extraterrestrial: EarthFirst trailer for 's. I've tried to be as polite as possible, but this is quite possibly the most disappointing trailer I've seen in a long time. Think I'm exaggerating? Check it out for yourself below:

See what I mean? In my opinion, it does absolutely nothing to sell the upcoming series to anyone other than a die-hard fan. Foreign Fan. It may be a 15-second long video, but considering five of those precious seconds are devoted to its title at the end of the trailer, we're actually only getting 10 seconds of footage, which simply shows planet Earth reflected in a Xenomorph's glowing head before it screams at the camera.
Now, I know what you're thinking: “Tom, the very definition of a trailer is just that! Its only job is to tease more of what's to come.” I hear you loud and clear, reader, and it certainly beats the superfluous, overly long trailers we've come to expect from studios that practically outline the entire plot of new movies and TV shows before they're released. Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting a little more than I expected. Extraterrestrial: EarthThe first look at 's offers. Would it have been too much to ask to see something like Extraterrestrial: RomulusA menacing first trailer that showed the suspenseful tone and dirty neo-futuristic atmosphere of the film directed by Fede Álvarez? Not in my opinion.
Who is in the cast of Alien: Earth? And what is its story about?
Clearly, the aforementioned teaser – to me, it's nothing more than a TV spot, but oh well – doesn't provide any answers to the above questions, but fortunately, Extraterrestrial: EarthFX's official website does. Here's the brief plot synopsis as described on their website: “When a mysterious spaceship crashes on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat in FX's highly anticipated television series. Extraterrestrial: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.”
As the story synopsis confirms, Noah Hawley, whose previous industry credits include Fargo (one of the best shows on Hulu), Legionand Bonesis Extraterrestrial: EarthThe creator of 's, as well as its main writer and director, Chandler, whom some readers might recognize from the Olivia Wilde-directed film. Don't worry darling and Disney Plus TV originals Gunis the show's protagonist. According to Deadline, Chandler plays a character named Wendy, who has “the body of an adult, but the brain and consciousness of a child.”
Joining Chandler in Extraterrestrial: Earth's cast includes a host of familiar names, including Timothy Olyphant (The Mandalorian, Terminator zero), Young Kit (Shadow and Bone), Alex Lawther (Andor), Sandra Yi Sencindiver (Base) and Essie Davies (game of Thrones, One day).
As I mentioned above, Extraterrestrial: Earth It's only confirmed to be releasing on two of the world's best streaming services in 2025. Hopefully, we'll learn an official release date sooner rather than later, and whenever that announcement is made, I expect a much better trailer to arrive alongside it.
