Asus has extended its Proart line to study networks with two devices designed to move very large files more efficiently.
Proart Creator 7 PRT-B59 router presents Wi-Fi 7 wireless speeds of up to 5,000MBPS, while the Proart Creator Switch 10s PQG-U1080 admits a high-level switching capacity in its cable ports.
According to ASUS, these devices reduce bottlenecks when 8K video, extensive image libraries or collaboration editing projects where delays can undermine productivity are handled.
A wireless column for creative projects
The Dual-Fi 7 Wi-Fi 7 connection of Proart Creator Router 7 PRT-BE59 can move around 30 GB of project files in less than a minute, giving studies the ability to share large data sets without long delays.
Asus frames this as a critic for tasks such as project synchronization to cloud storage, transmitting content to high resolution and enabling real -time collaboration.
Although their specifications resemble those promoted by the best Wi-Fi and Games routers, this device is aimed at professional studies where stable performance is more important than the use of entertainment.
On the wiring side, the router includes a 2.5 g wan port, a 2.5 gy three lan 1g port port.
While these can be suitable for wireless and cable mixed configurations, they remain modest compared to what high -end production environments generally demand.
To fill this emptiness, Asus introduced the Switch Proart Creator 10s PQG-U1080, which offers eight 2.5 g ports for routine cable tasks and two ascending bonds of 10 G SFP+ for heavier performance.
This configuration admits up to 40 GBPS of switching, an ASUS figure position as necessary for the rapid movement of 8K images and the simultaneous edition in multiple work stations.
If many studies can saturate this capacity, it is uncertain because business grade switches already exist with comparable specifications.
In a controlled demonstration, Asus illustrated how these devices could work in practice.
A travel router and a 5G device captured media in the field, which safely transferred to a study through VPN.
Within the study, the Prart 7 router distributed files through Wi-Fi 7, while Proart's switch was handled the transfers with cable to up to 10 g.
The process was presented as a fluid of the capture through the edition, but the real performance will depend on independent reviews of the real world, not on a demonstration controlled by the laboratory.
These devices show potential to reduce delays in demanding workflows, but it is not clear if they can displace the established business networks team on which professionals already depend.
