Despite its record-breaking debut on Prime Video, aka one of the best streaming services in the world, The rings of power Season 1 was not viewed favorably by everyone. The series was watched by over 100 million people worldwide but, based on its unimpressive 38% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, viewers weren't completely enamored with its first eight-episode installment. In fact, many people felt that it did a disservice to Middle-earth lore and other aspects of Tolkien's source material.
