Tubi is one of the largest free streaming services, and in the US, it has a surprisingly good selection of movies. While the offering in other territories, such as the UK, where it recently launched with over 20,000 movies and shows in early July, isn’t as great, the US catalogue has some of our favourite movies, including some of the best sci-fi movies.
So, if you're looking for futuristic action and adventure but don't want to pay for one of the best streaming services to watch it, Tubi is a pretty good option, as long as you can stand some ads. Here are three must-watch sci-fi movies you can stream on Tubi for free.

I rewatched it last week and was surprised at how well it still holds up today – the effects work is very dated, it feels very Wrath of the Titans Compared to today's computer-generated special effects, the film is a taut, tense horror story about a killer who will never give up and seemingly can't be stopped. As The Boston Globe put it, the acting is terrible and it's all very silly, but that doesn't matter because director James Cameron “has the formula down pat.” As Flavorwire put it, “Much of Terminator “The show's greatness is due to its low-budget aesthetic and lo-fi energy; perhaps by necessity, Cameron's narrative sense has a poor efficiency that both he and the show have long since abandoned.”
