- The use of the voucher can only be used outside of peak hours.
- Users have flocked to Claude for his stance on military AI.
We know that AI chatbot users have been flocking to Claude in recent days, in part due to parent company Anthropic's stance on taking on deals with the US military, and now all Claude users will get double usage limits for the next two weeks.
According to Claude's official account on X, the gesture is “a small thank you” to the users. It applies to all usage types, across all tiers and subscription plans (including the free tier), and no action is required to enable it.
There's a catch, though: these additional usage limits are only available during off-peak hours. Monday to Friday, 5am to 11am PT, or 8am to 2pm ET, 12pm to 6pm GMT and 11pm to 5am if using Claude in Australia.

On weekends, you can take advantage of additional usage limits throughout the day, so it might be the best time to create something with Claude Code or try it out. the new interactive visualizations feature that has just been implemented in the AI chatbot.

You can find more information on the usage promotion page. The offer will be valid from Friday, March 13 until the end of Friday, March 27. Business accounts do not qualify for the promotion and bonus usage does not count towards your weekly limits.
If you're wondering what your current usage limits are, it's complicated: It depends on everything from how complex your prompts are to how long your conversations last before starting a new chat. Obviously, the more you pay, the more use you get.
As we reported before, even those with paid subscription plans don't get unlimited chats with Claude, so you may find yourself running out of buffers sooner than expected. With this in mind, this bonus use should be welcomed by everyone.
Claude's principles regarding the ethics of AI and military use have led to US government agencies abandoning it, so White House and Pentagon staff are among those who will not be able to take advantage of the promotion.
