- Geforce now has no plan available at this time
- Day passes will return in a couple of weeks, they tell us
- The waiting for complete subscriptions could be much longer, due to the transition from NVIDIA to a new payment system for the service.
The GeForce Now Transmission Service of NVIDIA is currently not open to any new subscribers, in any of his plans, and apparently that situation will not change soon.
Polygon reports that he has heard from Nvidia Stephenie Ngo spokesman that the day passes return in a short time, and the NGO informed us that the new inscriptions for single -day experiences should return in “approximately two weeks.”
However, it will spend a lot of time before complete subscriptions (monthly and biannual) that most players want to play again, and we are not told exactly when. So, those who are fed up not being able to buy an RTX 5080 or 5090, and are thinking of going to the side of the game pond, are quite without luck.
We are given a reason for this interruption through an official announcement delivered to the GEFORCE NOW subnet. It is because Nvidia is making the transition from a third -party payment processing system to assume these tasks itself.
The firm said: “We hope the transition will take a minimum of 5 weeks.”
Oh. However, there is good news for existing subscribers, who will not be billed during this period.
Nvidia said: “As of January 31, 2025, the billing will be renounced while we perform the payment services. Although he will not be billed, his account remains in good reputation. “
ANALYSIS: HIGH DEMAND MORE COMBO PAYMENT CHANGE
In addition to the free time given to existing subscribers, which is clearly a good advantage for those who already use the transmission platform, this is also good news (in theory) for long -term service. The hope is to show a commitment to Geforce now, since bringing this internal system is not a small matter for Nvidia, as we can see since the duration of inactivity time here. In other words, it is a movement that was undoubtedly taken lightly.
Even so, that will be a small comfort for those who want to register in a subscription plan at this time or in the near future.
There is still no clarity about whether GeForce Now subscribers will have to re -enter payment details for their subscription, but this should not be a great discomfort, even if required with the new system.
All this comes out of the back of NVIDIA temporarily stopping most subscription plans a couple of weeks ago, apparently due to the high demand of the servers. Given this, it seems a strange moment to also change paying suppliers, but maybe NVIDIA is taking the opportunity to perform server or infrastructure updates while repositioning your payment system.
Who knows, his assumption is as good as mine, but hopefully after this next month or two of irregularity in terms of subscription availability, he will return to business as usual for Geforce now and those whom they want to join completely to The Cloud Game Club. Possibly before there is a great leap on the stock cards of the Nvidia high -end Blackwell graphics cards, to be fair.
