The fantasy role-playing game (RPG) from Obsidian Entertainment Declared now has a slightly more specific launch window: it's set to launch on PC and Xbox Series|S this fall.
Fall release windows for games typically point to a release between early September and late November, but Obsidian didn't give a specific month or date during today's (January 18) Xbox Developer_Direct stream. For now, potential players will just have to watch this space, but thanks to streaming, we've also gotten a better look DeclaredIn the meantime, we must carefully study the combat system.
Declared will allow players to use customizable loadouts that can be changed during combat, allowing them to take on a variety of enemies with a variety of techniques. Some of the options players could opt for were shown off, such as the Dual Wield Wand Charge, which allows you to quickly cast spells at enemies with two separate weapons.
Otherwise, Obsidian teased that certain aspects of the game, such as quests, will allow players to make decisions with “profound consequences.” There will also be a level of moral nuance here, as some decisions will not have an immediate “right or wrong” answer. Not only can missions play out differently as a result of your choices, but their results can also be reflected in the world.
The latest images have also shown more than DeclaredThe vibrant world of Eora, home to a wide range of biomes that the developers described as “rich, strange and wonderful.” It certainly looks pretty, and with Obsidian's track record of excellent RPGs like Fallout New Vegas and The outer worldsThings look pretty promising.
Declared It can also be played through Xbox Game Pass from day one.
