The one I think will be the best fit is this 50-inch Vizio Smart TV 4K for $248 (was $319). What I will make clear is that this is far from the best TV out there, but if you don't care about pristine picture quality and affordability is more important to you, then it ticks both boxes.
The Vizio supports 4K resolution, so you still get a good ultra-high definition image by today's standards, while full backlighting offers better colors and contrast for superior clarity. Of course, all the streaming apps are also just a press of a button or voice command away, so you've got everything you need for general everyday use.
