The luxury fashion label Vivienne Westwood made its debut in India with its first fashion parade that celebrated the rich textile heritage of the country in the iconic entrance door of India in Mumbai.

The fashionable parade with a 166 -feet runway showed a spring/summer 2025 Vivienne Westwood selection and special file pieces together with a capsule collection designed with the hand -woven fabrics of India.

The collection of special capsules included fabrics such as the Chanderi silks, Khadi cotton, wool and silk of all India by India Khadi and Aaranya de Madhya Pradesh.

The fashion event was attended by real families throughout India, Bollywood personalities, designers and influential industry.

When commenting on the program, Andreas Kronthaler, creative director of Vivienne Westwood, in a press release, said: “India is such a vast country, so rich in history and culture and we are honored to be showing here at the monumental entrance door of India. I loved getting to know the faws of Khadi and Chanderi, there is a lightness, a crunch That there is something behind them, what is behind them.
