The Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin presented on Monday an exhibition in Zhang Yuan in Shanghai, tracking almost three centuries of haughty domain. The exhibition extends until July 20.
Nicknamed “The Quest: 270 years of searching for excellence”, the immersive exhibition explores the legacy of crafts, innovation and cultural exchange of the brand since its foundation in 1755, through a curing of watches, calibers, components, watchmaking tools and file materials.
With seven chapters, the search leads to visitors through the legendary heritage of Vacheron Constantin, their dominance of artistic crafts and finishes, their deep links with global cultures and their association with the Louvre.
The trip culminates in an end covered with stars that contemplates the time, the cosmos and the future of the Maison, and a final celebration of the latest creations of the Maison especially conceived for this year milestone.
The choice of Shanghai for the debut of the exhibition is symbolic. The Vacheron Constantin connection with China dates back to 180 years, to 1845. Shanghai's edition of The Quest celebrates this legacy with an exclusive exhibition of watches created specifically for the Chinese market.
After its debut in Shanghai, the search will continue touring the main cities around the world throughout 2025.
