US brand Ralph Lauren reports 33% reduction in emissions in sustainability update

Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) today released its 2024 Global Citizenship and Sustainability Report, reflecting on how the company is putting its vision of timelessness into action and outlining its progress toward achieving its goals as part of its Timeless by Design strategy.

Highlights this year include:

Ralph Lauren’s 2024 Global Citizenship and Sustainability Report highlights progress on its Timeless by Design strategy. Achievements include the Artist in Residence program with Diné artisan Naiomi Glasses, the launch of sustainable collections, reducing emissions by 33%, phasing out carbon in supply chains, and opening a new cancer prevention center in 2024.

  • Launching its Artist in Residence program and three exclusive collections with Diné (Navajo) artisan Naiomi Glasses based on a one-of-a-kind model for a mutually beneficial cultural collaboration;
  • Introducing its iconic Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certified Denim Flag Trucker jacket, launching the first 100% recycled cotton polo shirt certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and introducing its first Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified sweater collection;
  • Continue to phase out coal use in its manufacturing supply chain and reduce its absolute emissions compared to the FY20 baseline by 33%; and
  • We celebrate the opening of the new Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention, opening in October 2024 at the University of Southern California Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, funded in part by a grant from the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation.
