UK's Topshop presents Tolu Coker capsule collection

Today, the highly anticipated Tolu Coker x Topshop 18-piece capsule collection, created with award-winning British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker, is available on Topshop.com.

Led by Coker's creative vision, the collection brings a new perspective to contemporary womenswear. Clean lines, sculptural silhouettes and intentional details are found throughout, offering a considered approach to dressing that is both versatile and expressive.

Tolu Coker's 18-piece capsule with Topshop is available now, combining precision tailoring with sculptural silhouettes and modern, versatile basics. Featuring reimagined denim ensembles, off-the-shoulder knitwear, a fitted three-piece suit and a signature plaid dress, the collection reflects movement and identity. The “DOORS” campaign explores social mobility, celebrating creativity, culture and accessibility.

At the heart of the collection is Coker's precision tailoring, reinterpreted through modern staples and statement pieces. Highlights include:

  • Denim was reinvented in coordinated ensembles including cropped jackets, multi-pocket jeans, and mini and maxi skirts with Coker's signature pleats;
  • Knitted sweaters with pronounced shoulders and knitted dresses with a refined cut and flared shape;
  • A tailored three-piece suit designed to mix, match and layer throughout the seasons;
  • Shirts sculpted with darts and fitted with puffed sleeves to create contrast and a play on proportions; and
  • A checkered dress with a distinctive shape and back slit detail

The campaign, titled “DOORS,” explores social mobility and the thresholds that the modern woman crosses throughout life, from work to home, from private to public, from arrival to reinvention, and the wardrobe she carries with her in each of them. The film was directed by his brother and longtime collaborator, Ade Coker, the cinematography was captured by Rashidi Noah, the millinery crafted by Virna Pasquinelli, and the music by Grammy Award winner Gaetan Judd.

Tolu Coker said: Working with Topshop on this collection was like an opportunity to speak directly to a part of British fashion culture that shaped so many of us in real time. We set out to create pieces that understood movement, identity and the way people live and dress now. For me, it was about talking about community, craft and culture while embracing Topshop's spirit of creativity and accessibility, so the collection feels elevated but never separate from the people it's aimed at.

Michelle Wilson, CEO of Topshop said: Topshop has always believed in championing new talent and giving emerging designers a global platform. Our fashion-loving community wants creativity, personality and cultural relevance. Tolu embodies that spirit completely. Seeing the pieces from this collection debut on the runway at their London Fashion Week show and the incredible reaction they received was a testament to their vision and the power of this collaboration. Together, we've created a collection that feels modern, expressive and unmistakably ours.
