UK's Frasers Group enhances board with key appointments

Frasers Group plc (“Frasers” or the “Group”) announces the appointment of new high caliber directors to the Board. These appointments bring additional skills and complementary experience that reaffirm the Group's confidence in its long-term growth and elevation strategy.

Helen Wright, global chief executive, Sergio Rossi will be appointed non-executive director, and David Al-Mudallal, chief operating officer of Frasers, and Ger Wright, managing director of sports, will join the board as executive directors following their significant contribution to the Frasers Group. in their current roles. Helen Wright He joins Frasers Group with over 25 years of experience as a senior executive in international luxury consumer and lifestyle brands. Helen is widely credited with leading the recovery and revitalization of British brand Belstaff during her time as CEO. She established the company's strategic vision and investment agenda and drove its digital transformation. Helen's other leadership roles have included Vice President of Sales and Marketing Europe at Ralph Lauren, President of EMEI for Fendi/LVMH and CEO of Anya Hindmarch. In November 2023 she was appointed CEO of the Sergio Rossi group, the renowned Italian luxury footwear house, based in Milan, Italy.

Ger Wright He has been Managing Director of Sport at Frasers Group since 2022 and joined with 20 years of executive experience across commercial, product and marketing roles. Ger is responsible for leading sport within the Group and works closely with the team alongside brand partners to deliver the next phase of the business's omnichannel transformation and expansion. Previously, Ger worked with the world's leading denim brand, Levi's, and most recently spent 15 years at Nike, where he was responsible for building markets, businesses and teams in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

David Al-Mudallal was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Frasers Group in August 2021. He has been a key driver of the group's transformative lift strategy, playing a pivotal role in talent acquisition and retention and delivering operational excellence across the group. David is responsible for integrating the newly acquired businesses into the Frasers platform, which is a key enabler in unlocking profitable growth from our M&A strategy. He also led the creation of the Financial Services Division and the successful development and launch of Frasers Plus, the Group's credit and loyalty facility. Since joining the Group in 2017, David has held a number of senior positions including Chief of Staff and Head of Operations.

sir jon thompson, former chief executive of the Financial Reporting Council, will bring extensive experience in governance, reporting and auditing, having led the significant transformation of the FRC following multiple independent audits. Sir Jon's previous roles include Chairman of HS2, Chief Executive of HMRC and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, where he oversaw major projects and drove major change programmes. – He has also had an impressive career in finance, having held roles as Director General of Finance at the Ministry of Defence, Director General of Corporate Services at the Department for Education and Chief Financial Officer of Ofsted. Before joining the civil service in 2004, Sir Jon held a number of financial and corporate services positions in the public and private sectors. Sir Jon is due to be appointed later this year, when his current commitments allow.
