The US FIT hosts. UU. 2025 Future of Fashion Runway Show

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) showed the exceptional creativity of its students in the future Future of Fashion Runways presented by Macy's, held at the University Campus in New York City. The event had a visionary and innovative aspect made by a select group of graduated students of the FIT Fashion Design BFA program.

The future of 2025 Fashion Runway Show, with 82 designs, celebrated the work of 67 students. The looks were inspired by personal stories and anecdotes that addressed topics such as sustainability, technology, cultural heritage and more. The five concentrations include knitted clothes, sportswear, intimate clothing, children's clothing and special occasions.

The future of Fashion Institute of Technology of the Fashion Runways, sponsored by Macy's, exhibited 82 innovative designs of 67 BFA students, highlighting topics such as sustainability and cultural heritage in five fashion concentrations. The winners of the awards included Khoboso Nale and Allison Margaret Smith, with 13 students who received critical honors.

“For four years, our graduate designers have perfected their skills and refined the tools they needed to better channel their creativity, and we can witness first hand the results of those efforts,” he said FIT President Joyce F Brown. “In FIT, our graduate BFA students not only deliver the final exams, but create beautiful designs that come alive on the catwalk, just before our eyes. Every year, the future of the fashion parade gives the border designers a unique opportunity to demonstrate for the world what they can achieve when their passion and training are synchronized and applied together.”

The track looks were selected by a group of distinguished judges, including FIT student Joe Ando-Hirsh, designer and fashion actor; Kevin Bass, senior associate of programs and fashion calendar in the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA); Edmundo Castillo, fashion accessories designer; Hollis L'Endnge Daniels, design director, Macy's; Vanessa Friedman, fashion director and fashion main criticism, The New York Times; Kelly Geib, Account Executive, Avalon Apparel; Phillip Lim, fashion designer and creative director; Fit Student Rebecca Moses, international fashion designer and author; and Dr. Valerie Steele, principal and main curator of the Fit Museum (MFIT).

For the fourth consecutive year, Macy's was the main sponsor of the show. Through Macy's social purpose platform, the mission each, the brand recognized the outstanding skills of graduates with two awards, building and empowering the next generation of designers, trends and retailers through its Future of Style Fund Fund (FOSF). The winner of the Macy's capsule collection, Khoboso Nale, will get experience in the real world working together with Macy's executive mentors in retail and manufacturing locations. The collaboration will culminate in the production and sale of the Nate Bajo Macy's Collection Private Label Bar III, available in the Macy's badges herald Square and selected stores throughout the country.

The Macy's Empowered Design Award, which honors a student who powerfully transmits his inspiration through a final design, was awarded to Allison Margaret Smith.

“This spring, Macy's is proud to associate with Fit and the Future of Fashion Runway Show to empower young designers through the mission each,” he said Emily Erusha-Hilleque, senior vice president of private brands for Macy's. “Creativity and exhibition dedication in the last night illustrate our commitment to train the next generation of designers.”

“Macy's's continuous support exemplifies the influence of industry and investment in new talents,” he said Dean of the Fit Troy Richards School of Art and Design. “Our students benefit from the tutoring and the opportunities offered by Macy's, enriching the FIT fashion design plan.”
