The vibe is sleek, graphic and monochromatic, using unexpected volumes and proportions to create distinctive looks for every wardrobe and every celebration. The collection's minimalist and sophisticated silhouette is offset by a playful approach to embellishments. Black and white looks are accented with sequins, bows and decorative embroidery. A classic tuxedo shirt is embellished with crystals on the cuffs, and a short tuxedo suit comes densely embroidered with decorative details. Tactile finishes emerge throughout the collection. A new hyper-textured stripe is used to create a top and pants set reminiscent of the texture of faux fur. The evening bags are finished with extended crystal fringe that adds drama and movement, perfect for dancing.
H&M's Holiday 2024 collection channels the couture of the '60s and '70s, combining sleek silhouettes with playful embellishments like sequins, crystals, and fringe. The collection features monochrome graphic looks with luxe details, including embellished tuxedo shirts, crystal fringe evening bags and mirror-embellished accessories. For men, it offers flowy shirts and sequined tailoring.
The accessories evoke the luxurious style of the 60s: bags and shoes are adorned with “mirror deco” details that are inspired by the aesthetics of the space age. The flat shoes look perfect with mini dresses, offering a more youthful and gamine look, the company said in a press release.
For men, the collection is inspired by the dandy and carefree glamor of mid-century fashion. Flowy shirts and pleated pants are paired with sequined tailoring. Altogether, the collection is an invitation to express a timeless but confident sense of style: clothes to wear for the most special occasions.
“For holiday 2024, we champion a new kind of elegance: one that is charming and lush, but utterly modern. “We are bringing the elevated style of 60s and 70s couture into the contemporary wardrobe,” he said. Eliana Masgalos Duarte, womenswear design director, H&M.
The Holiday 2024 collection is available from November 7 in select stores and online.
