The 11th edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers was held at the Louis Vuitton Foundation on 10 September. Ellen Hodakova Larsson won the LVMH Prize, while Duran Lantink was awarded the Karl Lagerfeld Prize. The newly created Savoir-Faire Prize went to Michael Stewart of Standing Ground. Natalie Portman, Robert Pattinson and Ana de Armas presented the awards.

The final of the 11th edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers was held at the Louis Vuitton Foundation on 10 September 2024. Eight artistic directors of the Houses of LVMH took part in the ceremony, including Jonathan Anderson, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Nigo, Phoebe Philo, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Pharrell Williams, as well as Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie and Sidney Toledano. Actress, film director and producer Natalie Portman did us the honour of being part of the 2024 jury. Derek Blasberg and Wisdom Kaye hosted the 2024 awards ceremony.
This year, a new award has been created: the Savoir-Faire Prize, which rewards exceptional craftsmanship, technical expertise, innovation or sustainability of a young brand.
LVMH PRIZE
Among the eight finalists, the jury has awarded the LVMH Prize to Ellen Hodakova Larsson, 32, a Swedish designer and founder of the Hodakova womenswear brand. She will receive €400,000 and will be mentored for a year by a team of LVMH experts.

THE KARL LAGERFELD PRIZE
The Karl Lagerfeld Prize has been awarded to Duran Lantink, a 36-year-old Dutch designer and founder of the womenswear, menswear and genderless clothing brand Duran Lantink. It includes a €200,000 prize and a year of mentoring by the LVMH group.
Actor Robert Pattinson, dressed in Dior Homme, revealed the name of the winner of this award.
THE KNOWLEDGE-FAIRE AWARD
The Savoir-Faire prize has been awarded to Standing Ground, a womenswear brand founded by Michael Stewart, a 35-year-old Irish designer. The designer will receive €200,000 and a year of mentoring from a team of LVMH experts. He will also enjoy the support of LVMH Métiers d'Excellence through a collaboration with Maison Vermont, the embroidery specialist, which will provide the winner with €50,000 worth of embellishments for his next collection.
The award was presented by actress Ana de Armas, dressed in Louis Vuitton.

A new award has been launched this year, the Savoir-Faire Prize, which is awarded to a brand whose commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability or innovation has convinced the jury and reflects the values of our group.
The jury decided to award this prize to Standing Ground, a brand whose majestic designs demonstrate great technical know-how.
The Karl Lagerfeld Prize was awarded to Duran Lantink for his unconventional, body-transforming clothing.

Three young fashion school graduates were also awarded prizes: Marine Gilles, a graduate of HEAD (Geneva), Lovro Lukic, a graduate of Central Saint Martins (London) and Mickaël Nana, a graduate of ENSAD (Paris). Each will receive €10,000 and will join the ateliers of three LVMH Group houses for one year, Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Dior Homme respectively.
LVMH PRIZE FOR YOUNG FASHION DESIGNERS
Like the LVMH Group, which has launched a global environmental strategy, the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers aims to support the winners in integrating environmental issues into their design and production processes. Each of them will benefit from a specific mentoring programme, as well as a cash prize of €20,000 and €10,000 respectively on the Nona Source platform, which aims to revalue waste materials from the Group's fashion and leather goods brands.
