Hollywood celebrities turned out in force on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, sporting killer looks to kick off showbiz’s awards season after being out of sight for months during devastating industry strikes.

Here are some of the best fashion moments at the gala, held at the Beverly Hilton hotel:

It’s a Barbie world

“Barbie” star Margot Robbie, who played the iconic doll during the film’s press tour, once again rocked vibrant pink, this time in a sparkly Armani dress and a tulle coat modeled after the 1977 Superstar Barbie.

Jennifer Lopez, who hosted a special screening of “Barbie” for Globes weekend, lit up the carpet in a strapless, curve-hugging pink dress and a flowing cape, whose sleeves exploded in flowers.

And Hailee Steinfeld wowed in a soft pink Prada column dress with a train.

But not all of Robbie’s co-stars and collaborators adopted the doll-inspired dress code.

Director Greta Gerwig wore black silk and opera gloves, while America Ferrera, whose monologue is one of the film’s defining moments, embraced the evening’s metallic trend in an embellished silver column dress.

Pop sensations Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish, each nominated for best original song for their contributions to the “Barbie” soundtrack, also wore black. Dua Lipa opted for a sculptural Schiaparelli dress, while Eilish looked more elegant as a librarian.

Jewel tones are always a hit on the red carpet, especially in winter.

Best Supporting Actress winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”) stunned in a strapless burgundy Rodarte dress with a peplum and scalloped sequin neckline.

Helen Mirren, the narrator of “Barbie” and nominated for her work on the “Yellowstone” prequel “1923,” was all smiles in a floor-length amethyst dress and matching coat with ruffled sleeves.

And several opted for the relentless red.

Nominee Julianne Moore (“May Dec”) opted for understated glamor in a strapless red dress with a square neckline, while best television comedy actress nominee Selena Gomez (“Only Murders in the Building”) wore a halter dress with fun cutouts on the bodice. and black details.

Irish actor Barry Keoghan, star of “Saltburn,” embraced the red trend with a Louis Vuitton jacket and pants with contrasting tone-on-tone prints. He also wore a brooch, seen on other actors, including Colman Domingo (“Rustin”).

Lingerie looks

Both Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”) and Rosamund Pike (“Saltburn”) drew inspiration from the boudoir for their Globes looks.

Both British actresses wore black lace dresses, although Waddingham’s left much less to the imagination, with corsetry and a sheer silhouette from head to toe.

Pike, wearing a vintage Dior, won the award for most striking headdress, with black lace framing her face.

stylish rock star

Of course, Taylor Swift’s arrival at the Golden Globes, without her boyfriend Travis Kelce, whose Kansas City Chiefs were playing the Los Angeles Chargers across town, created quite a stir.

Swift, whose film version of her show “Eras Tour” was nominated in the new box office achievements category, shined in a green Gucci dress with spaghetti straps and an open back.

Their relationship was the subject of criticism from comedian Jo Koy, who hosted the gala, a joke that Swift visibly did not appreciate.
