Sportmax Pre-autumn 2024 – World Water Day

Slender, graphic lines and an urban spirit exalted the elegant collection that the Sportmax design team delivered for fall 2024.

In line with the brand's approach, different references converged in the line, encompassing the Mod movement that inspires the narrow proportions of the tailored pieces; the iconic 1967 film “Belle du Jour” evoked by the essential A-line of mini dresses and the sensual tone of the boudoir-inspired dresses, and the 90s minimalism that is always present in the brand's aesthetic.

As a result, the focused and simple collection juxtaposed different shapes. Leather trench coats with matching pants slightly flared at the bottom showed an elongated silhouette that contrasted with small boxy suits and mini skirts. Highlights in the latter category included lacquered looks with a heat-sensitive coating for a glossy finish or knitted alternatives treated after ironing for a more durable effect.

The design team favored a generous dose of Lycra, which served as a base for form-fitting garments meant to further accentuate the body and enhance the line's less-is-more vibe. But don't be fooled by the low-key approach: the Sportmax urban tribe still turned heads through the charming color palette that ranged from neutrals and elegant caramel tones to pale pink and vivid shades of indigo and royal blue.

More outgoing minimalists could also count on sheer mesh dresses and beaded tops to spend more time in the spotlight.
