Shanghai Fashion Week has announced its planned return for March 25, revealing its schedule for the Fall/Winter 2024 season.
The iconic brand Le Fame, renowned for its romantic vintage charm, with a modern interpretation of Shanghainese femininity, drawing inspiration from oriental eras, opens the shows. Meanwhile, Mithworld will host the event's grand finale with its Fall/Winter 2024 release, taking inspiration from traditional Chinese dim sum.
Also showing will be Lv Yan with her brand Comme Moi, renowned for its signature “soft sculpture” aesthetic, alongside independent labels such as Xiaoli and emerging designer Louis Shengtao Chen, renowned for his whimsical colors and experimental style. Young talents debuting at Shanghai Fashion Week include Weiræn, Aubruino, Tension Archive and Raydots.
Beyond the runway, LabelHood Pioneer Fashion Art Festival returns to Bund Source under the theme “Return to Truth,” collaborating with 16 young designers to present their latest collections, including Assignments, Markgong and Xander Zhou, among others.
At Jing An 800 Show, Kids Wear will present a visual feast of innovative and cutting-edge children's fashion with the theme 'Gradual Change', while New Bund 31 will host nine exhibitions of domestic and international bridal and evening wear brands.
As part of its mission to establish the “biggest order season in Asia”, there will be more than
ten shop windows and showrooms making their big appearances. Mode Shanghai Fashion Fair, in collaboration with IM Shanghai Changning International, has specifically curated a selection of unique brands, providing a platform for those to showcase their diverse development.
Several venues around the city will once again host exhibitions, including this year's new Bridal Moda, which will debut at the Shanghai International Convention Center and feature new trends in wedding dresses and formal wear.
Lastly, Shanghai Fashion Week serves as a platform for emerging designers to showcase their talent, with initiatives such as The Next emerging forces section and the RISE Sustainable Consumption Innovation Platform, which highlights the intersection of education in design and market demand.
