Ralph Lauren has revealed his plans to present his next show in New York, the legendary American designer's final show to take place outside of the city's official runway season.
Laurent will present its Fall 2024 collection on April 29. The location has not been announced at this time.
Ralph's most recent show was a highlight in September 2023, when an armada of climbers transported dozens of stars to the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Friday night to witness a glittering collection inside a giant high-bohemian hangar in the East River. Jennifer Lopez appeared with two huge bodyguards and two bearded stylist friends. Sit between Julianne Moore and Diane Keaton, wearing a top hat worthy of Annie Hall. All perched between David and Ricky Lauren.
That show marked the first time she walked on the official New York runway calendar since before the start of the pandemic. Their two previous shows were off schedule.
In mid-October 2022, Lauren flew to the West Coast for an epic garden exhibit at the Huntingdon Library in Los Angeles. In March 2023, Ralph invited guests to the Museum of Modern Art for a Jazz Age reenactment show before falsely lit windows depicted the skyline of a tall building in black and white.
Although Lauren, who was born in the Bronx, dedicated her biggest tribute to New York in September 2018 with a giant show on Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, where Oprah Winfrey addressed arguably the brightest group of stars of any American fashion show: Hillary. Clinton, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Spielberg, joining designers such as Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Thom Browne and Tommy Hilfiger.
