In spring, Pucci will travel to Portofino, the most chic destination on the Italian Riviera in the Liguria region, to present its latest collection. Camille Miceli, who took over the design of Pucci in September 2021, will continue her tour of Italy with a show scheduled for April 4, in one of the iconic resorts favored by the international jet set in the 1960s and 1970s.
“Bright, fresh and oozing Mediterranean Dolce Vita,” Portofino is perfectly aligned with the spirit and history of Pucci, the brand said in a press release.
The theme of the show will be “Marmo” (marble in Italian), the wavy motif that is one of the hallmarks of the label, known for its psychedelic style. Marmo is inspired by the colorful veins of marble and was created in 1968 by founder Emilio Pucci. It is the first of Emilio Pucci's famous engravings that Miceli highlights.
No details about the venue of the show were revealed. The spring show is part of Pucci's strategy of holding roadshows of its collections, whose items will be immediately available for sale, in a “see now, buy now” style.. After a first “experimental” presentation in Capri, Miceli traveled to the Swiss ski resort of St. Moritz to present his second collection.
Miceli's first show took place in May 2023 on the banks of the Arno River in Florence, a stronghold of the LVMH-owned brand, and was followed in 2024 by a show in Rome. “By bringing the Marmo show to Portofino, Pucci embraces its glamorous yet relaxed coastal spirit, with the brand's heritage basking in the spring sunshine,” Pucci said.
