Oscar the red carpet to shine with bold gems and rare diamonds

In this year's Oscars, jewels on the red carpet will be bold declaration earrings and thick necklaces, as well as rare natural diamonds and a more creative use of gems by male stars, according to an expert in Beers jewelry.

“For the Oscars, it is quite large or goes home,” said Sally Morrison, the US natural diamond group for the Beers group.

The Jewelry trip from the exhibition room to the red carpet can be an intricate dance between jewelry, stylist and designers companies, as well as the celebrities themselves.

“We listen to many of the stylists. They will tell us directionally what kind of things are looking for: shapes, silhouettes, maybe colored pallets,” said Morrison.

“We do not often know until the person really is on the carpet, what has been selected. Therefore, it is a time of the year that is being disinfected for us, but it is also very exciting.”

It is forecast that the earrings and collars of the Ira are fashionable this year, such as the large diamond collars in layers that are put Sarah Paulson in the Golden Globe Awards.

“We are also seeing really substantial necklaces that include rough diamonds. Last week, Zoe Saldana wore a very large necklace with many green and brown and yellow rough diamonds,” said Morrison.

Oscar nominated Timothee Chalamet, meanwhile, has used line necklaces and layers in layers. “It definitely pushes the envelope for diamond jewels in men,” he said, adding that he hopes to see the growing creativity of men this year.
