MSGM will present mixed offer for its 15th anniversary in Milan


Italian brand MSGM plans to return to its roots next month as it celebrates its 15th year in business. It's taking the opportunity of Milan Men's Fashion Week to offer a mix-and-match collection.

The company said that “on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer 25 for men, on June 15, MSGM will present the Spring/Summer 25 for men and Resort 25 for women collections in a mixed show to celebrate the 15th anniversary Of the brand”.

This comes after founder and creative director Massimo Giorgetti introduced the label with a combined offering a decade and a half ago.

“In June 2009 I presented the first MSGM men's collection together with the women's resort. I would like to celebrate that memory and recreate the same energy,” she said of his latest plans.

MSGM kept its menswear and womenswear clearly separate during the previous season: the womenswear was shown during Milan Fashion Week in February and the menswear collection was presented at the menswear event the month before.

But the timing of June is good, as interest in women's resort/cruise collections increases with some of Europe's mega fashion brands generating buzz through a series of “location” shows, the most recent being the from Gucci this week and the previous Chanel event.
