Moncler puts the Grenoble line in the spotlight. The Italian luxury down jacket brand will celebrate its high-tech performance line with a runway show, an “exclusive” alpine-themed event for Fall/Winter 2024 on February 3, featuring the pristine mountains of the elegant Swiss. St. Moritz ski resort as a backdrop.
Without giving further details, Moncler simply stated in a brief statement that “the show will be inspired by the soul mate of Moncler Grenoble, in which performance and design reach their maximum expression,” adding that “the show will bring together the community of the brand for an outdoor experience in the purest Moncler style.”
The announcement of the event coincided with the recent opening in St. Moritz of the first Moncler store dedicated exclusively to the Grenoble line. Moncler Grenoble launched in 2010 and is inspired by the world of alpine activities, featuring ski clothing and accessories inspired by the iconic vintage looks that have made Moncler famous. Moncler specially dressed the French Olympic champion Jean-Claude Killy and his teammates at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics, hence the name of the line.
Last year, the group expressed its interest in promoting this high-performance technological line aimed at “active millennials” (between 30 and 40 years old), which is available all year round and also includes a summer range. Grenoble aims to diversify the brand’s range, along with its main line, Moncler Collection, and the more creative looks of Moncler Genius.
Moncler organized its last show-event in 2022, to celebrate its 70th anniversary.
