Marco Rambaldi Fall 2024 Runway Review, Fashion Show and Ready-to-Wear Collection

Marco Rambaldi's fall collection, titled “Memento amori” or “remember that you must love,” was a trip back in time, as his nascent brand is now asked to expand its reach and scope to scale its growth and to actual times. a disconcerting overhead that the designer finds more difficult to handle.

Since founding his brand, Rambaldi has used it as a platform for social commentary, although more recently this seemed restricted as he simply reused his key fashion codes: repeat iuvant styleor repeat, join, stylize.

But not for fall, resulting in one of her most compelling fashion displays to date, with better production and a sharper, wittier message.

The designer's hot topics were there, but they were referenced in more subtle ways. For example, the body liberation movement inspired tight knit alpaca dresses with trompe l'oeil drawings of female bodies in underwear or the use of old-school insignia of eroticism, such as the office-appropriate pencil skirt with a high slit, barely-there camisole, here wrapped in Swarovski crystals, and a Kama Sutra pattern subtly evoked in a devoré velvet skirt suit made in collaboration with textile manufacturer Redaelli.

The models walked slowly through the gilded rooms of the neoclassical palazzo to the rhythm of faint piano music, dressed in elegant vinyl pencil skirts paired with macrame polo shirts with mixed prints, or girlish miniskirts contrasted with frescowool trucker jackets, dresses ribbed and cable knits dotted with crystals and beautiful, wide dresses. -Coats with shoulders.

Rambaldi supported the European Parliament's insieme-per.eu initiative aimed at persuading citizens in the next European elections scheduled for June. He gave himself a pencil to show guests and signs that said “believe in yourself, use your vote, believe you can make a difference” hanging on the walls.

Gucci's Sabato De Sarno was present, clapping happily as the show moved towards the end to the rhythm of “Domani è un altro giorno” or “Tomorrow is another day” by Italian singer Ornella Vanoni.
