This new Brand Communications department follows the recently announced appointment of Doris Casares as the new Director of External Communications, Institutional Relations and Public Affairs, who will report directly to CEO Toni Ruiz. Both departments will contribute to consolidating Mango's communications strategy and achieving the objectives set out in its 2024-2026 Strategic Plan.
Mango has appointed Santiago Lameiro as its new brand communications director, reporting directly to Blanca Muñiz, brand director. Lameiro, with more than 25 years of experience in the fashion, luxury and lifestyle sectors, will lead the public relations, advertising, in-store communications and social media teams. This signing follows the recent appointment of Doris Casares to strengthen Mango's 2024-2026 Strategic Plan.
Lameiro, who joins the company today, has more than 25 years of experience in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies in an omnichannel and international environment, with extensive experience in the fashion, luxury and lifestyle sectors.
Until now, Lameiro held the position of Global Director of Communication and Retail Marketing at Sociedad Textil Lonia, a business group that has been managing the communication of the Purificación García and CH Carolina Herrera brands for more than twenty years. In his position, Lameiro was assistant to the director, responsible for the brand strategy, positioning and development in 44 markets, development of the marketing plan, talent management, collaborations and influencers, creative direction, coordination of campaigns and events and definition of the media plan, among other functions.
The new Brand Communications Director will be responsible for developing the company’s brand strategy and leading the PR, Advertising, In-Store Communications and Social Media teams.
After completing her studies in Marketing and Advertising, Lameiro began her professional career in a communications agency in London, working with brands such as Versace, Montblanc and Ferragamo. In 2000, she returned to Spain to join Sociedad Textil Lonia as Head of Communications and Marketing in the Men's Design team, a position she held for two years. As the company grew, her role expanded to include different areas such as retail, marketing, branding, image and e-commerce.
At the same time, Lameiro has combined his professional career with his teaching work at the University of Vigo for eleven years, as a professor at the Higher School of Fashion Studies of Galicia (ESDEMGA), in the subject of marketing and communication in the textile sector.
