Mango has announced a strategic association with circulation to boost textile circularity within its supply chain. The Spanish fashion brand is collaborating with the Swedish company to source material made of recycled cotton. According to an official statement, Mango describes collaboration as “a milestone in its commitment to sustainable fashion.”

Through this alliance, the handle will integrate fibers derived from the circulation pulp in its supply chain. The pulp is created using an innovative chemical process that transforms recycled cotton waste into usable raw material. The objective is to incorporate these fibers into the next product collections.

“This collaboration marks an important milestone in our sustainability roadmap, aligning with our goal of using only lower impact fibers by 2030,” said Andrés Fernández, director of sustainability and mango supply. “It reflects our commitment to foster a more circular and responsible fashion ecosystem, where innovation and environmental administration go hand in hand.”

Jonatan Janmark, CEO of Curious, added: “We are proud to welcome Mango as a circularity partner in this new chapter of Current. This collaboration brings us one more step to restart our factory. We hope you send a strong signal for other brands to continue.”

Previously known as Renewcell, Circase is a Swedish specialist in plants and cellulose recycling fibers. In February 2024, Renewcell declared bankruptcyciting the lack of brand commitment to adopt recycled materials. Backed by investors such as H&M Group, Bestseller and Tommy Hilfiger, the company relaunched in June under the name of the circulation with the support of the Swedish firm of private capital Altor.

Founded in 1984 by Isak Andic, Mango is a world fashion brand based in Barcelona. It operates in more than 120 markets with a network of more than 2,800 stores. Its sustainability strategy focuses on the transition to a circular model. At the beginning of 2023, Mango launched its first denim collection designed with principles of circularity and was associated with the innovative Spanish textile Pyratex, known for new generation fabrics. The company is also a founding member of Reviste, Spain textile scrap initiative.

Financially, Mango registered an increase in income of 7.6% in fiscal year 2024, closing the year with € 3.34 billion in sales.
