Louis Vuitton has opened a new exhibition at the Nakanoshima Art Museum in Osaka.
Nicknamed “Visitarios Visionarios” and in execution until September 17, the showcase reinvents the rich history of the house through the unique lens of Japan.
Commissioned by fashion historian Florence Müller and brought to life by Shigematsu de Oma, the exhibition covers twelve immersive spaces, with more than 1,000 pieces on display, including file sketches, rare works of art, leather articles and facilities.
An outstanding feature is the inclusion of more than 200 specific artifacts in Japan, highlighting the deep cultural ties of the Maison with the country.
Visitors enter through a dramatic five -story atrium full of bright trunks, followed by an immersive dome built from 138 trunks.
In Monogram, a celestial theme room highlights the evolution of the iconic pattern, including a rare sample of 1897. Atelier honors artisans behind custom pieces, as collaborations with Sho Hirano and designer Verdy.
Other prominent aspects include Louis Vuitton in Japan, celebrating decades of cultural exchange and iconic collaborations with artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Nigo and Takashi Murakami.
