L'Oréal Groupe has officially opened its North America Research and Innovation Center (R&I) in Clark, New Jersey.
Representing an investment of $ 160 million, the installation of almost 250,000 square feet is the largest center of L'Oréal outside France and underlines its long -term commitment to the market, the economy and workforce of the United States. The construction of the center began in 2022, while large -scale operations began in February.
The center of R&I will play a key role in the development of the American brands of L'Oréal, including Maybelline, Cerave, Redken and Kiehl's. The notable features of the installation include a modular laboratory of 26,000 square feet, a consumer co-creation center that accommodates up to 400 daily participants for products testing, and a mini factory in the place to climb final formulations before complete production.

The installation joins the Global Centers of R & I of L'Oréal in France, Brazil, South Africa, India, China and Japan. It will use more than 600 scientists, engineers and researchers. The center will also collaborate with the main academic institutions, biotechnology and startup companies to promote advances in sustainability, inclusion and personalization in skin tones, hair types and beauty preferences.
