“Loewe has chosen our material to create an incredible and draped cover for Paula's Ibiza 2025 collection,” Orange Fiber said in a publication in his official LinkedIn account.
Loewe has presented Citrea fabric, created by Pyratratex and Orange Fiber, in the Ibiza 2025 collection of Paula. Made of sicilian citrus citrus citrus, the sustainable fiber, the sustainable fiber is combined with the wooden pulp to produce Lyocell thread of limited edition orange X. Fully traceable and European manufacture, the fabric reflects a new vision of the sustainability of luxury combination with innovation.
The innovation of the fabric comes from the abundant citrus waste generated in Italy, more than 700,000 tons of orange peels discarded annually after juice extraction. This agri waste is collected wet or dries in the sun in Sicily, is completely cleaned and processed to extract cellulose.
The resulting fiber is combined with the wood pulp using a low impact method similar to the production of tencel, resulting in a sustainable Lyocell thread marked as orange fiber x of limited edition Tencel.
Once produced, the thread is turned in Italy and transported to Portugal, where it is woven and finished by pyratex. The result is a 100 percent traceable cloth produced completely in Europe, where agri citrus waste effectively replaces the part of the virgin wood pulp.
“The collection of Pyratex Citrea fabrics, focused on the reuse of citrus agricultural waste, is aligned with our Spanish and Mediterranean identity. It represents a new luxury concept, based on the harmony between sustainability and technological innovation,” Pyratex said in a LinkedIn post.
