Kim Jones presents the Dior Summer 2025 men's collection

Presented against a backdrop of monumental sculptures by South African ceramist Hylton Nel, Kim Jones' new collection for Dior Men highlights the artistry and skills of Dior's Ateliers. Luxury meets utility and men's workwear borrows a new resonance from women's couture in new silhouettes that celebrate a contemporary heritage.

The artistic director of Dior's men's collections borrowed the language of ceramics for this season's collection, creating refined and sculptural silhouettes. The knitwear adopts playful motifs, prints and ceramic closures taken from the works of Hylton Nel. The studded motifs on garments, bags and shoes are also inspired by the world of the ceramist. Rounded shapes predominate in tailoring and outerwear, while ethereal cuts encourage body movement. Clogs made from fine materials, such as beech wood and calfskin, are transformed into motorcycle boots or elegant derby shoes, LVMH said in a press release.

Kim Jones focuses her vision on reinterpreting the Dior archives. Taken from a Yves Saint-Laurent piece from autumn-winter 1960, a scarf-like collar motif runs throughout the collection. The Saddle bag, an icon of Dior style for more than 25 years, is softened by curvilinear contours. Cloche hats designed by Stephen Jones in conjunction with Earth Age in Cape Town add a fun touch to the silhouettes. The hats were hand knitted by local South African artisans and ceramic beads were applied in Paris. This union of craftsmanship embodies the collective energy and craftsmanship that define Dior.

Kim Jones's Dior Men collection, contrasted with Hylton Nel's sculptures, fuses luxury with utility. Inspired by ceramics, it features sculptural silhouettes, knitwear with Nel motifs and studded details that reflect art. Ethereal cuts and reinterpretations from Dior's archives, like the Yves Saint-Laurent scarf collar and softened Saddle bag, add depth.
