Italy's Prada Re-Nylon Collection Highlights Sustainability

Prada's Re-Nylon collection embodies responsibility in action, placing circularity and sustainability at its center. Launched in 2019, Prada Re-Nylon, comprising accessories and ready-to-wear for men and women, embodies a fundamental duality of Prada's identity; innovation in spirit, responsibility in action.

Prada's Re-Nylon collection, launched in 2019, signifies a double identity of innovation and responsibility. The brand's radical commitment to sustainability involves converting all production from virgin nylon to Econyl, a regenerated nylon yarn. The 2024 collection showcases timeless pieces framed by the ocean, reflecting Prada's active preservation efforts.

By placing sustainability at the center of a fashion collection, Prada Re-Nylon has instigated change across the brand. Today, the production of all of Prada's virgin nylon has been converted to regenerated nylon, a radical commitment to sustainability by a major luxury house.

In the 21st century, notions of luxury have changed again, embracing ideologies and environmental concerns: think luxury. Prada Re-Nylon is an evolution of this iconic fabric to Econyl, a regenerated nylon yarn that can be endlessly recycled to produce material of the same high quality, the brand said in a press release.

This journey, in turn, inspires the Prada Re-Nylon 2024 collection campaign, which features an offering of timeless and timeless pieces, worn by Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch. This new collection is literally framed by the environment it actively preserves: the ocean.

Starting in July 2023, 1 percent of proceeds from the Prada Re-Nylon collection go to Sea Beyond, the educational program launched in 2019 by the Prada Group and UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC). A project in line with the group's passionate social concerns and the value it has always placed on education and culture, Sea Beyond has raised global awareness about sustainability and ocean literacy principles, educating young generations around the world. .
