Hyères's fashion and photography festival chooses a jury of the high caliber industry by 40th edition

There will be no jury presidents at the Fashion and Photography Festival of Hyères this year, or any actor, journalist or other personalities among the jury members. For its 40th edition, the recognized competition of emerging designers has changed its formula, opting for three jurors that consist exclusively of professionals in the high -caliber industry. In fact, the organizers have chosen 10 of the most exciting creative directors of the fashion scene for the jury of the fashion competition, 10 of the most talented accessories designers for each of the categories of accessory competition ( Shoes, jewelry, hats, etc.) and 10 renowned photographers to judge the photography competition.

The composition of the jurors of the festival was revealed on Wednesday night January 29 at the Institut du Monde Arab and Festival Accessories, scheduled from October 16 to 19, 2025, announcing the finalists of competitions and jury members.

During the last four decades, the Hyères Festival has supported the fashion industry and has been The Mediterranean city, or have previously served as presidents of the jury. The jury of the fashion competition includes names of the caliber of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Alexandre Mattiussi, who founded Ami Paris in 2010, Ludovic de Saint Serrnin, active with his own label since 2017, Grace Wales Bonner, who founded his label of Bonner de Wales in Wales in 2014, and Pelagia Kolotouro, creative director of Lacoste since 2023.

The other members of the fashion jury are designers who have already distinguished themselves in Hyères: Julien Dossena, who has been in charge of style in Rabanne since 2013, after having won the special prize of the Festival's jury in 2006, and served as president of the jury in 2016; and the creative directors of Viktor & Rolf, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, winners of the festival in 1993, who founded their label the same year.

Others are Christelle Kocher, who heads his own label, Koché, and the lemarié Maison d'Art, who presided over the jury of accessories in 2018; Louis Gabriel Nouchi, finalist of the festival in 2014, when he won the Galleries Lafayette Grant, and launched its LGN label in 2017; And finally Marine Serre, who launched her homonymous label the same year, when she also won the subsidy offered by the Parisian department store group.

For the category of accessories, the organizers have invited three former presidents of the jury: the Footwear Designer Christian Louboutin, who was president in 2021; The jewelry designer Charlotte Chesnais (President in 2019); and Pierre Hardy (president in 2017), who founded his homonymous brand in 1999 and has been for 25 years the creative director of footwear, costume jewels and fine jewels in Hermès.

In addition to these three personalities, the other jury members are Stephanie D'Eygere, founder of the brand of homonymous accessories and jewelry designer for labels such as diesel, Jacquemus and Jean Paul Gaultier; The designer based in Barcelona Adriana Manso, head of the La Manso jewelry brand; ELIE TOP JEWEL DESIGNATOR; Florence Tetier, jewelry designer and former creative director of Jean Paul Gaultier; Olivier Jault footwear designer; and Milliners Philip Treacy and Priscilla Royer, the latter, the creative director of Maison Michel.

The jury of the photography competition presents many fashion photographers who participated in the festival, for example, the Dominican Luis Alberto Rodríguez, born in New York, who won the competition in 2017 and presided over the jury in 2023; Pierre Debusscher, president of the jury in 2022; Italian photographer Paolo Roversi, president of the jury in 2020; Tim Walker of the United Kingdom, president in 2017; Norway Sølve Lundsbø, who made a name in Hyères, winning the photography prize in 1999.

The other members of the Festival's first level photography jury are the Dutch duo Inez & Veloodh, Malick Bodian de Senegal and French photographers Tess Petronio and Karim Sadli.
