H&M Sweden's Fall/Winter 2024 studio showcases timeless styles with a modern twist

Jazz-inspired principles of reinvention see classic silhouettes reinvigorated with a fresh beat in H&M Studio’s F/W 24 collection. Looking to musicians whose wardrobes transition seamlessly from day to night and from the spotlight to backstage, each versatile piece is designed with a refreshing lack of formality. By juxtaposing oversized outerwear in leather and lambskin with relaxed tailoring, effortless dresses and sleek accessories, a sense of comfort abounds. H&M Studio’s F/W 24 collection will be available in selected stores and on hm.com from 26 September.

“H&M Studio focuses on simple wardrobe solutions: timeless, multi-purpose pieces that take you to work, to dinner or out for drinks, and help you feel elegant yet relaxed. This season, combine pieces that set the pace and are objects of desire, updated classics that you will wear year after year, and then the accessories that give each outfit a cool touch,” she says. Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of womenswear design at H&M.

Key pieces revel in the opportunity to reinvent classics with a fresh attitude. A trusty trench coat has extended epaulettes for a modern statement. A shearling jacket is synonymous with glamour with an oversized silhouette. Dark-wash denim with a metallic weave exerts a unique attraction alongside sharply cut leather trousers, easy-to-shrink suits and feminine jersey dresses. Bold accessories add audacity, from slingback pumps in optic white to thigh-high boots, an XL tote bag and jewellery with rhinestone sparkles. The collection highlights high-quality compositions, with highlights including chrome-free leather, cashmere and merino wool, and organic cotton.

Inspired by jazz musicians, H&M Studio’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection features versatile and timeless pieces designed to seamlessly transition from day to night. The collection reinterprets classic styles with oversized outerwear, relaxed tailoring, feminine dresses and bold accessories. Crafted from high-quality materials such as leather, cashmere and organic cotton, it combines style and sustainability.

“For autumn, the design team was inspired by the strong yet relaxed style of jazz musicians, who put on a look and take to the stage before going out into the evening. As always with H&M Studio, the emphasis is on the juxtaposition of menswear tailoring and womenswear. We have remixed classics in fresh and exciting combinations for a modern wardrobe proposition,” she says. Linda Wikell, Concept Designer at H&M.
