Kering appoints Cédric Charbit as CEO of Saint Laurent and Gianfranco Gianangeli as CEO of Balenciaga, effective January 2, 2025. Reporting to Francesca Bellettini, deputy CEO of brand development at Kering, the moves are aimed at improving the growth of the brand. Charbit will leverage Saint Laurent's identity, while Gianangeli will focus on expanding Balenciaga's reach, strengthening Kering's leadership team.
Gianfranco Gianangeli has strong experience in the luxury industry, having worked for several renowned Italian and French luxury houses, especially in merchandising and retail roles, and as CEO of Maison Margiela. Most recently, he was commercial director of Saint Laurent. Now succeeding Cédric Charbit at the helm of Balenciaga, his task will be to continue strengthening and expanding the reach and renown of the House.
