French brand Dior names Lewis Hamilton as brand ambassador

French fashion house Dior has announced that British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton will be its new brand ambassador for menswear. In addition to this role, Hamilton will be the guest designer for an upcoming lifestyle capsule collection launching in October.

French fashion house Dior has announced that British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton will be its new brand ambassador for menswear. Hamilton will also be the guest designer for a lifestyle capsule collection launching in October. The exclusive collection includes Dior-branded printed sweaters, snow jackets and multi-layer microfibre snow shoes.

The collection, designed by Hamilton, will include a range of sweaters and snow jackets with signature prints. It will also include specially designed multi-layered microfibre snowshoes by Dior.

“The House is delighted to welcome seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton as the new Dior ambassador for the men’s collection. Following his victory at the British Grand Prix, this important announcement kicks off with the launch of a lifestyle capsule collection designed as part of a collaboration with Dior’s creative director for menswear, Kim Jones, reaffirming an enduring legacy of embracing icons who redefine what’s possible,” Dior said in an Instagram post.

“I couldn’t be more excited about this! I’ve been working with Kim Jones and the Dior team on this for over a year now and the journey has been incredibly rewarding. Creativity and collaboration keep us on our toes and it’s vitally important to challenge ourselves in new ways. Hamilton's exclusive Dior lifestyle capsule collection will be available in stores and online from October 17.
