Estée Lauder Companies celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of its Manufacturing and Fulfillment Campus in Oevel, Belgium

The Estée Lauder Companies on Thursday celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of its Manufacturing and Fulfillment Campus in Oevel, Belgium. The event brought together Oevel campus employees, Belgian government officials, media and leaders of the Estée Lauder companies for a tour of the center's technology and the unveiling of a commemorative mural.

“Nearly sixty years ago, my grandparents, Estée and Joseph Lauder, laid the cornerstone of our first facility here at Oevel, establishing what would become a vital part of our global operations,” said William P. Lauder, chairman of the board of directors of The Estée Lauder Companies in a press release. “Since those early days, our Oevel Campus has evolved into a vibrant community and one of our most advanced centers for manufacturing and innovation. It reflects and embodies the visionary spirit of my grandmother, Mrs. Estée Lauder, as well as who we are as a company. This anniversary is both a celebration of our people and a tribute to the enduring partnerships that have shaped the legacy of The Estée Lauder Companies in Europe”.

The manufacturing, fulfillment and biotechnology center was first established in 1965. As one of the Estée Lauder Companies' largest manufacturing units by volume, the facility produces more than 100 million prestige beauty products annually, which are distributed in more than 100 countries.

Today, the Oevel campus measures more than 100,000 square meters, five times its initial surface area, and includes several buildings. The campus, which supports more than 20 brands, is designed to facilitate rapid new product launch and custom manufacturing, integrating advanced technologies and artificial intelligence across its operations.
