Dior's creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, showed her fashion collection of loose and minimalist minimalist styles in the Toji temple garden in Kyoto on Tuesday night.

The models walked along a wide road and pebbles and on a catwalk, parading through the coats and mostly bleak colors, some kimono style wrapped throughout the chest.

There were loose pants, wide manga jackets and long and airy dresses with shiny flower patterns. Some looks were complemented with a single arete or a transverse body bag.

The French fashion house worked with local specialists, including the traditional Japanese textile company Tatsumura Textile Co., for designs, which were based on the styles of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

“We did several different prototypes, and from them, the final version was selected for production,” Iku Tatsumura, president of the company based in Kyoto, told Reuters.

A silver -based fabric became less bright to give it a more modern appearance, while the sea garments were lightened with gray tones, he said.

“In total, the whole process took approximately one year.”

Dior owned by LVMH with Dior with Japan, where he has made exhibitions and fashionable parades and royalty dresses, dates back to its founder, Christian Dior, who in 1957 designed layers to fit on the shape of the kimono.

To the end, the models aligned in front of the Pagoda style temple that was founded in 796, when Chiuri, who joined Dior in 2016, came out for his arch, stopping a quick wink to the audience.
