Recently restored by BLVD Hospitality Group, The Georgian Hotel, an iconic Art Deco hotel located in Santa Monica since 1933 where Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe were regular guests, will host vintage expert Cameron Silver for a pop-up weekend starting on December 8. to 10.
Celebrating 100 years of style at The Georgian, the hotel will welcome the public and hotel guests to immerse themselves in the charm of the last ten decades. Vintage, used and contemporary pieces from renowned brands such as Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent will be featured. Additionally, Decades will feature pieces from sustainable, female-founded brands such as ReWeave and Angel Chang.
Founder of Decades in 1997, a leading vintage boutique on Melrose Avenue, and creator of Hollywood's most memorable red carpet ensembles, Silver has been collaborating with leading stylists, celebrities, Hollywood studios and prominent fashion publications worldwide for more than 30 years old. “I think of fashion, of clothing, as an art,” Silver said. “I'm not talking about disposable purchases. Even my daytime clothes are glamorous.”
Silver is also frequently used as a public emissary and secret weapon to consult on everything from reimagining a brand's identity to navigating its global launch. He has served as an official ambassador for Pringle and Boucheron. As Azzaro's creative consultant, Silver collaborated with the Parisian house's once languishing new creative director, Vanessa Seward, on design, research and development, as well as initiating and maintaining the brand's role in celebrity dressing.
